The following guide will help users to register for an OGPlanet account, download and install the game client of LaTale, and even understand the basic user interface (UI) of LaTale, in a format that even the newest of users to online-gaming can understand.
This guide should not be used without permission on any site other than ggftw.com. This guide was written by Chesters.
Registering for OGPlanet
- Before reading how to register, I suggest you jump down to the download section, and have your download going as you register for your account and read the rest of the guide. (suggested for users with slow or moderate connections)

- Simply enter your email into the box (remember to check for accuracy) and click Submit. Once doing so you should get a page telling you "An E-mail has now been sent to you."
- Now, check your email. Generally you should receive an email in 1-5 minutes. If you still haven't received in an email in an hour or longer (and have checked your Spam/Junk folder), you may need to use a different email address. To register a new, free email address, I suggest Gmail.

- You should receive an email like the example picture shown to the left. Simply open the email up, and click the link inside.
- A new window will open where you can complete your registration. Fill in all the blanks, and remember to check your answers for accuracy. Don't forget to write down your username/password somewhere, so you can still access your account if you forget your combination.
- Bonus tip: For "How did you hear about OGPlanet?", click Other, and type www.ggftw.com!
- Once all blanks are filled in, check the box and click Sign Up!
- Congratulations, you have officially registered an account at OGPlanet.com!

Downloading and Installing the LaTale Client
- Downloading the game of LaTale is a pretty easy process, and can be done before registering an account.
- You will see a list of various download mirrors which you can choose to download from. For this guide, we will be using the mirror from Download.com, however, you are free to choose any other download mirror. (keep in mind, each mirror will have a varying download speed)

- Once the download is completed, double-click the file to open the installer. Follow the installer's instructions to install it.
- The installer will give you the option if you want to install DirectX 9.0c. To check your version of DirectX, click here.
- Once the installation is complete, you can now play LaTale. Keep in mind that the game will need to patch itself when you first start up the game.

Logging into the Game and Character Creation
| Once you have successfully installed LaTale, open up the patcher/launcher. To do so, find and click the icon on your desktop or open it via your Program Files.
A window will appear that will show the server list, the latest announcements, the option to automatically start the game once it is done patching, and the option to play in windowed mode. Click either if you wish to have those options.
Once your game is done patching (as you will most likely need to after downloading), you can click the Start button to finally open LaTale.
An anti-hack protection program named X-Trap will start up, but will it not interrupt your LaTale playing, so you do not need to worry about this.
